Here I am in class with David Jakes (and fellow teachers). My brain is VERY full of techno stuff and it's still just day one. :-) We have learned about Wikis, social bookmarking, podcasting, and a lot more.
David has encouraged us to create this blog. I have no idea which direction to send this post. I am eager to experience these new tools and am anticipating how I would use them in teaching.
I would love to hear how other primary teachers are using these and similar tools in the classroom. I am ready to listen....are you ready to share? How do you use technology in the classroom with young learners?

Cindy, if anyone can figure out an application for this at the kindergarten level, you can!
Thanks for your faith in me Kathy
I agree with Kathy...however, it will be interesting to continue to see how your perspectives about what is possible at the kindergarten level. I haven't seen much on this. However, no matter what, you can always use this for your personal learning, and to connect with parents, which we all know is incredibly important.
David,
I certainly intend to seek ways to use this with my little ones. It all remains to be seen. As the song says..."it's a whole new world". I feel that as I continue using it for my own personal growth, it will become "second nature" to me and thus easier to transfer over into my every day teaching (style).
You are such a leader - I am glad you are mentoring so many new teachers - U-46 needs to take advantage of your leadership and talent.
