Inspired...

I really should be asleep right now. I am enrolled in a writing class this week... (who does that just a week before school starts?) ;-)
Anyway, my new blog-buddy, Tony Powell shared a link to Rachel Boyd's blog. From there I have been visiting blogs all evening long. I just watched the video "One Woman's Wanderings With Web.20" (below) by AllanahK on Teacher Tube. WOW!! She is already where I would like to be when it comes to using Web 2.0 tools in the classroom. I had a bit of a temporary, mental set back last week in my efforts to bring Wed 2.0 to life with teachers of Early Learners. But the works of both Allanah and Rachel have inspired me to continue on this journey into We 2.0. I won't give up! I will use these tools with my students and find ways to share them with teachers.
Watch Allanah's video, perhaps you too, will become inspired to use Web 2.0 tools in your classroom.

Cindy,

Many of us have experienced mental set backs when sharing our enthusiasm about the power of the Read/Write web with other educators. Just like you, I found inspiration from the work of others.

May this new school year further energize your efforts to spread the news.

Have a great year and keep us posted on your efforts!

Tony

Tony,
Thanks for your words of encouragement I am going to focus on the positive and in the meantime I will keep my eye on the prize…which is getting things going for my students. Maybe through our classroom efforts others will see the powerful potential that you and I (and so many others) already know is there. I will remain focused on the goals I have set and share what I know with my students. I will definitely keep you posted! Thanks again!

Hi cindy
Thanks for your comment on our Kindergarten blog. We look forward to watching your blog as your Kindergarten year begins. We are really enjoying our ICT journey with our 3 and 4 year old children and are excited by the feedback we are getting from our families and the community. We are just beginning to share our learning with other Kindergarten Teachers in our area and look forward to other Kindergarten blogs beginning. It is great to have comments from Teachers in other countries. Thanks heaps. Tania Coutts
